This is one of the most important aspect because this rehabilitation starts when the patient is in hospital. Normally the patient stays in hospital for 5 to 6 days. After the patient becomes stable the role of patient caretakers and skilled nursing staff begins

. Their major duty responsibilities, includes to make the patient ambulate with the help of walker, stick or by giving them manual support. Before discharge from the hospital it is important that balance and coordination of the patient becomes stable.

  • Diet also plays a major role so nursing staff who are with patient and other medical attendants can make sure that their diet is nutritious. 
  • Small meals can be given at multiple intervals which will help in proper digestion.
  • Gentle bed bed exercises by a skilled physiotherapist is very helpful in building their psychological and physical confidence. 
  • Trained attendants under the guidance of Physiotherapist can perform some of the basic exercises, just to maintain the proper blood flow throughout the body. 
  • Monitoring of vitals like BP and pulse rate is important after the patient has been discharged from hospital. This record can be kept by Nursing Staff.
