WHAT ARE BED EXERCISES 

Bed exercises or usually performed on those patients or of particular age group, those who spend most of the time on bed like bedridden patients and  old age.

These exercises should be performed  by a trained and experienced physiotherapist. Otherwise chances of muscle strain can occur.

WHY IT IS IMPORTANT 

Normally the patients who are on bed  suffer from lack of movement and stiffness due to which body starts aching. 

  • These exercises increases blood flow all over the body which leads to reduction in intensity of stiffness. These exercises also prevent patients from bedsores, deformities.

     and various other problems. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF DO NOT FOCUS ON THESE EXERCISES 

In old age, there are some patients which become reluctant to do any sort of exercises.

  • Due to continuous stay in one position, the muscles of that particular area becomes fatigued.

      due to this fatigue, their muscular support becomes less which results in Body Ache. For example, if anybody is lying down       straight for longer periods than the back muscles, will get fatigued and results in low back pain.
